Rogelio Esquivel Jr. of the Philippines won the men's longboard event title at the ongoing 1st WSL La Union International Pro Qualifying Series in San Juan, La Union in the Philippines. The local Esquivel won over favorite Taka Inoue of Japan in the finals. Meanwhile in the women's division, Natsumi Taoka of Japan wins the longboard title.
Both winners will receive 1000 points after winning this Qualifier to improve their standings in the World Longboard Tour.
Other participating countries are Indonesia and Sweden.

The Point, Urbiztondo Beach from January 20 to 26.
