Shooting | ISSF Grand Prix Rifle/Pistol - Jakarta, Indonesia

 

The ISSF Grand Prix Rifle/Pistol International Shooting competition is being held in Jakarta, Indonesia from February 8 to 18. The Southeast Asian nations competing in this shooting competition are Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and host Indonesia.

 

At the first day of competition, a qualification round was held for the men's 10m Air Rifle and on the second day, the final four were identified and the winners were declared after the final round.

It was all-Southeast Asian shooters who occupied the top 3 places for the 10m Air Rifle for men. And below are the successful SEA athletes.

• Gold - Napis Tortungpanich (Thailand)
• Silver - Fathur Gustafian (Indonesia)
• Bronze - Tianrui Gai (Singapore)

For women's 10m Air Rifle, only Khairunnisa Salsabela of Indonesia won medal for Southeast Asia. She took home the silver medal behind gold medalist Laura-Georgeta Ilie of Romania while Bangladesh's Nafisha Tabasum snatched the bronze medal.

Competition continues tomorrow with the qualification round of 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team and women's 10m Air pistol.
