Thailand Won at the ITTF World Hopes Week & Challenge


 
Kulapassr Vijitviriyakul of Thailand won the girls' singles title at the recently concluded 2022 ITTF World Hopes Week & Challenge. The event was held in Hennebont, France from January 16 to 22, 2023 with 38 participating young table tennis athletes.
 
Aside from Kulapassr of Thailand, other Southeast Asian athlete in the girls division was Yu Zheng Cheah of Malaysia who finished 5th place in the overall ranking.

For the boys' division, Thailand's Nimit Soiphuang placed 6th overall while Indonesia's Dafi Nanca Fahreza Putra landed in 15th to 16th position. Philippines' Khevine Kheith Cruz positioned at 17th to 18th rank. Italian Danilo Faso won the boys' singles title in this tournament.
 
Surprisingly, no Singapore player was seen in this world table tennis event.
