#SEAGames2021 News 006 | Cambodian Vovinam Training in Full Swing



 
After the conclusion of its Vovinam National Championships, Cambodia's vovinam national athletes are training "in full swing" for the Southeast Asian Games that will be held in Vietnam from May 12 to 23.

Vovinam is one of the sports that gives medals for team Cambodia in SEA Games. 
 
At the 2011 SEA Games in Jakarta, Cambodia took home 12 medals including two gold medals while in 2013 SEA Games in Myanmar, they brought home 10 medals which includes two golds.

In preparation for SEA Games in Hanoi, one of the Cambodian national athletes Pov Sokha highly committed herself to strive in training better to win medal in the biennial meet and in the 2023 SEA Games to be held in their home soil.
 
No number of medals is being projected for Hanoi SEA Games but the Cambodia Vovinam Federation (CVF) is aiming to win nine gold medals in the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games which is going to be staged from May 5 to 16, 2023.

Cambodia is planning to send a 500-member delegation to the 2021 SEA Games.
