The 8th Southeast Asia Pencak Silat Championships was held at the OCBC Arena in Singapore from February 25 to 27.
There were five Southeast Asian countries that participated in the 3-day competition and these were Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and host Singapore.

SEA Games will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam and other neighboring provinces and will have its opening ceremony on May 12 with eleven participating Southeast Asia countries.
