Malaysia Dominated Iberdrola Spanish International 2021


Young and promising badminton Malaysian players dominated the Iberdrola Spanish International 2021 which was held in La Nucia, Spain from June 16 to 19.
 
Malaysia captured three event titles. These are in women's singles, men's doubles and in mixed doubles.
Below are the successful players of the tournament.
 
In the women's singles, it was an all-Malaysian final event between Kisona Selvaduray and Goh Jin Wei but in the end it was Kisona who clinched the women's single title. Meanwhile, Eoon Qi Xuan  reached the semifinals of the said event.
 
For men's doubles, Man Wei Chong and Kai Wun Tee  won against French Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar in the finals, 21-15, 21-18.
 
And for the mixed doubles, Kai Wun Tee and Teoh Mei Xing victoriously won over Callum Hemming and and Jessica Pugh of England in the finals, 21-15, 13-21 and 21-19.
