HOME - 32nd Summer Olympic Games - Tokyo 2020

Indonesia will field twenty-eight athletes - 12 females and 16 males, competing in eight (8) sports. Among these Olympians, seven (7) already competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics. The team is vying for 27 events mostly in badminton and weightlifting.  

Indonesia already produced 7 Olympic gold medals in Olympics, all of them came from badminton. This Tokyo Olympics, 11 badminton players will contest in five (respective) events. 

Their youngest athlete is Mutiara Putri of rowing at 17 while their most senior athlete is 2008 Olympic gold medalist Hendra Setiawan (badminton) at age 33. Indonesia's average age is 24.5.

All their badminton players are favorite to win medals especially Setiawan and partner Mohammad Ahsan in men's doubles.  Meanwhile, weightlifting is also their source of Olympic medal. 2016 Olympic silver medalist Eko Yuli Irawan will be man to lead Indonesian weightlifting team.

  • Gold Medal - Greysia Polii & Apriyani Rahayu (Badminton - Women's Doubles)
