Malaysia is determined to send the best badminton players for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games to be held in the Philippines.
They are still monitoring the state and conditions of badminton players that can be fielded.
Their focus this year is the biennial meet but not sacrificing the qualifying events for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo which is their main goal.
They have not yet identify the target number of medals but rest assured that they will send players capable of winning medals.
According to one of the tweets of BFM News, Badminton Association of Malaysia will allow professional players to take part in the Philippines SEA Games in November.
This comes after 2 independent pairs, who are the country's top ranked mixed and men's doubles players, were left out of the ongoing Sudirman Cup.
