SEA Games 2019 News 050: Youngsters To Boost Laos Archery Squad


Laos is rooting for its young archers to boost its archery squad for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines.

The Lao Archery Federation wants to add some new and fresh talents to its current national squad which is composed of those who competed at the recent SEA Games and at the last Asian Games in Indonesia.

An investment amounting of US$120,000 was received by the federation to spend on equipment and training ahead of the 30th SEA Games this coming November.

Currently, the Laos archery squad is training at a local sports school and it urge its youngsters to do well for their spot in the national squad to be fielded in the biennial meet.   

At the 2017 SEA Games, Lao archer's reached the round of 16 phase of the compound individual for both  
men and women's events.

And recently, Laos fielded twelve archers at the 2019 Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament Stage-1 held in Bangkok, Thailand last month. (See: Southeast Asia Won Medals at 2019 Asia Cup of Archery)
