Southeast Asia Won Medals at 2019 Asia Cup of Archery

Southeast Asian nations collected medals at the 41st Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament (Stage-1) 2019 held in Bangkok, Thailand from March 25 to 30.

Leading Southeast Asia is Malaysia that won 1 gold and 2 silver medals and finished 4th overall in the medal tally.

Meanwhile, Indonesia and Myanmar both collected one silver medal each while Singapore also won a bronze medal.

The lone gold of Southeast Asia is courtesy of the women's team of Malaysia composed of HALIM Nur Aina Yasmine, MAT Salleh Fatin Nurfatehah and MOHD ASMI Nurul Syazhera. The trio won over team China in the women's compound team event.

Malaysia's silver medals came from MAT Salleh Fatin Nurfatehah in the women's compound individual event and from MOHAMAD Khairul Anuar, NOR HASRIN Muhammad Akmal & ZOLKEPELI Muhamad Zarif Syahiir in the men's recurve team event.

Myanmar's lone silver medal was copped by the duo of Nay Lin Oo and Nwe Thidar in recurve mixed team event while Indonesia got its medal from RANTI Sri and WARDHANA Prima Wisnu in the mixed compound team event.

Singapore made it to the medal tally by winning third place courtesy of LOH Tze Chieh Contessa in the women's compound individual event.

Aside from the mentioned countries, Laos, Philippines, Vietnam and host Thailand also competed at this tournament but failed to win medal.
The tournament is part of our Southeast Asian archers in preparation for Olympic qualifications and to the 30th SEA Games 2019 to be held in the Philippines.
