The best three scorers in the stroke play will earn the slots for the national team while NGAP has the right to name the fourth player to join the other three players.
It was during the 2005 SEA Games that the Philippine men's team captured the gold medal that happened in their home soil.
The men's team was composed of Juvic Pagunsan, Jay Bayron, Michael Eric Bibat and Marvin Dumandan.
This year the association is very confident that the men's team will do very well.
As for the women's team members, NGAP will release the format for women’s qualifiers. The last time the Philippine women's squad won gold medal was in 2013 Myanmar SEA Games.
At the recent Asiad held in Indonesia, the women's team ruled the team and individual events led by Asian Games double gold medalist Yuka Saso.
