SEA Games 2019 News 030: Finding PH SEA Games Flag Bearer

Four names floated who could be the flag bearer of the Philippines at the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

These names are Hidilyn Diaz, Yuka Saso, Margielyn Didal and Carlos Edrielle Yulo.
Hidilyn Diaz is an Olympic silver medalist in weightlifting at the 2016 Rio de Janiero Olympics. She competed in three consecutive Olympics and the first Filipino woman to win medal in Olympics. She is also the Philippine flag bearer at the opening ceremony in 2012 London Olympics.

Adding to her credential, she recently won gold medal in the women's -53kg event at the 2018 Asian Games held in Indonesia. 

Yuka Saso is the only double gold medalist at the recent Asian Games in Indonesia. She won in the individual event and in the team event in golf. 

Saso also took part at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she almost won a medal. 
Margielyn Didal is an Asian Games champion in women's skateboarding. She won gold medal in street skateboarding event at the 2018 Asian Games. She was invited to compete at the 2018 X Games becoming the first competitor of any gender to formally represent the Philippines in the games.

She was also listed in Time Magazine's 25 Most Influential Teens of 2018.
Carlos Edriel Yulo is the first Filipino and male Southeast Asian gymnast to win a medal at world championships. He won bronze medal in men's floor exercise at the 2018 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Doha, Qatar. 

He also won gold medal at the 2019 World Cup qualifying for OG - FIG World Cup 2019 Melbourne, Australia for the same event.

All four athletes have very good credentials and can be flag bearer for the host country at the upcoming Southeast Asian Games 2019.
