Tashkent, Uzbekistan will host the 4th Asian Youth Games in 2029

During the closing ceremony of the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) flag was handed over to Uzbekistan, symbolizing the acceptance of being the next host of the games. 

 

Uzbekistan finished second overall in the medal tally at the 3rd AYG in Bahrain with 81 medals including 37 golds. Most of its medals came from boxing, judo, kurash, weightlifting and wrestling.

 

So expect these five (5) sports to be included in the sports programme of the next edition of the games.

With four years to prepare, let’s hope for our Southeast Asian youth athletes to excel in #Tashkent2029!
