The organizers of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games has revealed the medals to be given to the winners at the games.
The medal concept combines sports with Thai arts, showing a distinctive and harmonious Thai identity under the concept of "PLAY BY THE RULES".
Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, stated that the medals are beautiful, strong, durable, and are a source of pride for athletes.
According to the report, the medal are made from strong materials, resistant to impact, plated in gold, silver, nickel, and do not peel off with diameter of 8.5 centimeters and with thickness of 0.8 centimeters.
The front is the logo of the 2025 SEA Games, while the back is the logo of the SEA Games Federation with the competition text. The background of the medal is a Thai weaving pattern, symbolizes the cooperation, unity and continuity of athletes from all ASEAN countries and conveys the power of sports in connecting people, culture and Thai pride.
