Singapore will be represented by 431 athletes in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China this coming September. This is the largest contingent ever to be sent by Singapore in the Asiad. The contingent will compete in 32 sports.
Jowen Lim of wushu & Amita Berthier from fencing will be Singapore's flag bearers to the Asian Games. However, their first ever Olympic gold medalist Joseph Schooling will not be present for Asiad.
At the last Asian Games in Indonesia, Singapore finished at 18th place in the medal tally with four gold medals, two of which came from Joseph Schooling in swimming.
