World University Games 2023 closes tonight with host China as the overall champion winning 103 gold medals. Japan came second with 21 gold medals while Korea place third overall collecting 17 gold medals.
For Southeast Asian (SEA) nations, Indonesia leads the eight SEA nations with four gold medals while Thailand came with the most number of medals among SEA nations.
Aside from the SEA nations above, Cambodia and the Philippines also competed in this edition but failed to win medals.
