19th Asian Senior Karate Championships - Malacca 2023

 

The 2023 Asian Karate Championships was held at the Malacca International Trade Centre in Malacca, Malaysia from July 21 to July 23. 

Vietnam led the Southeast Asian teams winning one gold medal in the women's team kumite while Indonesia also won a gold medal in the women's -68kg event. The remaining Southeast Asian karatekas who also won medals are from Thailand and host Malaysia.

 

Kazakhstan, Japan and Iran topped the medal ranking with three gold medals each.

• Women's Team Kumite - Đinh Thị Hương, Hoàng Thị Mỹ Tâm, Nguyễn Thị Ngoan, Văng Thị Ngọc Mỹ (Vietnam)
• Women's -68kg - Ceyco Georgia Zefanya (Indonesia)

Silver

• Women's Team Kata - Team Vietnam
• Women's -68kg - Văng Thị Ngọc Mỹ (Vietnam)

Bronze

• Men's -55kg - Prem Kumar Selvam (Malaysia)  
• Men's -60kg - Siwakon Muekthong (Thailand)
• Men's Team Kata - Team Vietnam
