Athletics is one of the center pieces aside from swimming at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia. These two sports offer the biggest number of medals every biennial meet.
The track and filed competition with 47 events will start on May 8 until May 12 except for marathon and 20km walk events (men & women) which are scheduled on May 6. It will be held at the Morodok Techo Track and field Stadium in Phnom Penh.
The Philippines track and field team has named their athletes that will compete in SEA Games 2023. Leading the 54 man-team is Olympian pole vaulter Ernest John Obiena. Obiena is one of the gold medalists in last year's SEA Games in Vietnam.
Team Philippines is hoping to improve their performance from the last SEA Games. Below are the names that will compose the Philippine athletics team to the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
