The Indonesian Esports National Team for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia is set to be named in the coming days as Indonesia is still on the process of selecting its best athletes to represent the red and white flag. The composition will soon be announced by the federation on or before March 1.
Series of qualifying events are taking place as 102 athletes joined the national selection for the 2023 SEA Games and only 48 athletes will be selected to compete in the biennial meet.
However, there is one team who wanted to represent Indonesia without undergoing the selection process. But the national federation indicated that all athletes who will represent Indonesia must undergo the selection process and must meet qualification standards set by the national federation as to give equal opportunities for those who wanted to represent Indonesia through fair process.
Indonesia who won two gold medals at the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam is set to compete in six out of the nine events in Esports in Cambodia.
The 32nd Southeast Asian Games is scheduled from May 5 to 17 with Phnom Penh as the main hub.
