Malaysia Dominate Asian Junior Squash Competition


 
Team Malaysia had a successful campaign at the recently concluded 29th Asian Junior Individual Championships held in Pattaya, Thailand. Scheduled from June 15 to June 19, Malaysia took home 4 titles from this Asian championships from 8 events offered.
 
The 8 categories or divisions played in this Asian championships were Boys U13, Boys U15, Boys U17 and Boys U19. For the girls division, there were Girls U13, Girls U15, Girls U17 and Girls U19.

Here are the Malaysia squash athletes who are victorious in their respective divisions.

  • Boys U13 - Sim Yeak Wei (Champion)
  • Boys U15 - Nickhileswar Moganasundharam (Champion)
  • Girls U13 - Harleein Tan (Champion)
  • Girls U19 - Aira Azman (Champion)
 
Aside from Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan Korea and Hong Kong also won division titles.
 
Other Southeast Asian countries that participated in this tournament were Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and host Thailand.
 
Malaysia is eyeing to send delegates at the 2022 World Junior Championships to be held in Nancy, France scheduled from August 11 to 21.
