#SEAGames2021 News 002 | Philippines Released Names for SEA Games


The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) named 40 athletes for indoor volleyball and 16 players for beach volleyball to the national pool that will see action for the Hanoi 31st Southeast Asian Games.
 
Below are the names of athletes considered for indoor volleyball for men and women.
 
 
The 20 women players is said to be going to Brazil for a one month training camp. But this will happen after the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) ends on April 9 as most of the considered players are part of this professional league. 

The women's team will be composed of professional and veteran players who saw action at the 2019 SEA Games. College and University players who are part of the national team will not be available as their leagues are coinciding with PVL which start on March 16 and the SEA Games preparations.
 
As for the men's side, the team will fly to Qatar for training and scrimmages. 
 
After their separate trainings in Brazil and Qatar, 14 players for each women and men's team will be named as official athletes for Hanoi SEA Games.   

For the beach volleyball competition, below are the list of names considered for SEA Games. At the 2019 SEA Games, both men and women's division brought home bronze medals.

Only 4 players for each gender will be selected in beach volleyball for SEA Games in Vietnam. The deadline set by the Hanoi SEA Games organizers for the submission of entries by names is on March 12.

Philippines' toughest rivals will still be Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia at the coming Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi.
