New faces for Team Thailand at 21st Asian Men's Volleyball Championship

With its junior team finishing 13th place overall at the 2021 U19  Volleyball World Championships held in Tehran, Team Thailand men’s senior team is now up against Asia’s best teams at the coming Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championships to be held in Chiba, Japan starting September 12.

Southeast Asian Games Silver medalist Thailand is in Pool B along with with Iran, Pakistan and Hong Kong. Their first match will be against Pakistan on the first day.

Team Thailand is composed of Soranun Nuampara,Chaiphiphat Buakat, Chakphong Thongklang, Montree Phuanglib, Anut Phromchan, Wuthithaporn Yookong, Jirapat Bunka, Kittithat Nuwatdee, Asanaphan Chantajorn, Adipong Pholpinyo, Thanatat Thaweerat, Krirkpong Phensuk, Ekawee Bangsri and Yossaphon Wattana.

Thailand was granted the sole Southeast Asian berth even though Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam also submitted their entry for their participation in the tournament.
