Thailand won two medals at the recent 2020 Tokyo Olympics from boxing and taekwondo.
Thailand with the most number of athletes from Southeast Asian region in Tokyo Olympics only produced a gold and a bronze medals.
Panipak Wongpattanakit won Thailand's first medal in the quadrennial meet in the women's -49kg of taekwondo. She defeated taekwondo jin Adriana Cerezo from Spain in very close fight in the finals. This is Panipak's second medal in the Olympics. Her first medal was a bronze medal in Rio Olympics in the same category.
The last medal won by Thailand was courtesy of Sudaporn Seesondee in the women's light weight category. This is the first time a female boxer from Thailand won an Olympic medal.
Overall, Thailand ranked 59th in the medal tally of the 32nd Summer Olympics.
