Indoor volleyball offers two gold medals at the 30th Southeast Asian Games which will be held in the Philippines this coming November.
At the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, Thailand was awarded gold medals in the men's and women's divisions while Indonesia took the silver medals for both divisions.
Vietnam on the other hand received the bronze medals for both divisions too.
This year, SEA Games 2019 will award to bronze medals for both divisions.
This new format was the same format as the 2015 SEA Games held in Singapore where the host managed to reach the podium in the women's division as bronze medalist.
With this format, teams who will reach the semi finals are assured already of a medal.
Host Philippines finished fourth place in the women's team event at the 2017 SEA Games and hopes to medal in their home soil at this year's biennial meet.
