SEA Games 2019 News 067: Indonesia to compete in 35 Sports


Indonesia plans compete in 35 sports at the 30th Southeast Asian Games to be held in the Philippines this coming November.

Indonesia has expressed that they will focus more on Asian Games and Olympics as these multi-sporting events are more prestigious and has tight competition.
 
The sports that the red and white flag will compete are: 1. Athletics, 2. Aquatic, 3. Archery, 4. Badminton, 5. Basketball, 6. Billiards and Snookers, 7. Bowling, 8. Boxing, 9. Paddles (Kayak / Canoe / Rowing), 10 Bicycle Racing, 11. Football, 12. Golf, 13. Gymnastics, 14. Indoor Hockey, 15. Ice Skating
16. Judo, 17. Karate, 18. Pencak Silat, 19. Sepak Takraw, 20. Shooting, 21. Taekwondo, 22. Tennis, 23. Volleyball, 24. Weightlifting, 25. Wushu, 26. Soft Tennis, 27. Kurash, 28. Chess, 29. Surfing, 30. Baseball and Softball, 31. Modern Pentathlon, 32. Sailing / Windsurfing, 33. Weightlifting, 34. Lawnballs / Pentaque, 35. E-Sports.
And speaking of their focus on Olympics, Indonesia also named the sports that their athletes can contest at the Tokyo Olympics.

These sports are badminton, weightlifting, archery, rock climbing and bicycle racing.
