The Philippine Sepak Takraw is now having a one month rigid training in South Korea in preparation for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games this coming November.
Composed of 5 women and 14 men plus 7 coaches and 4 PSI Medical Staff, the Philippine team is now at the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee Training Center in Incheon.
After the intensive training in Korea, the team is set to resume their training in Manila and will have international exposure in Thailand scheduled before the SEA Games commence.
PH Sepak Takraw President and POC Deputy Secretary General Karen Tanchanco Caballero vowed that they will work hard to deliver a minimum of two gold medals.
Sepak Takraw will offer six gold medals at the 30th SEA Games 3019 - two in women’s division and 4 in men’s division.
Philippines won two silver and two bronze medals at the last Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur with Thailand topping the event tournament with 6 gold medals.
