The Indonesian men's water polo national team welcomes the Japanese team that will test their skills and talents as part of the preparation for the 30th Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines.
The test match is being held at the Stadion Akuatik Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in Senayan, Jakarta.
The Japanese men's water polo team is from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
The joint training will expose the Indonesian athletes to the many strategies and smarter ways the Japanese water polo players have and most of all to absorb the knowledge from the Japanese team.
Speed, techniques and tactics are the main focus of the joint training for team Indonesia.
According to Coach Milos Sakovic, the Indonesian team is becoming mature in the style of playing.
Indonesia is aiming to win SEA Games gold medal this year. At the recent SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, the team just settled for silver medal behind powerhouse Singapore.
The team also plans to train in Serbia in which two of Indonesian players are already there for water polo league.
