The YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships 2019 was held in Birmingham, Great Britain from March 6 to 10.It was only players from Indonesia who lifted team Southeast Asia as Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan won the men's doubles title.The duo beat Malaysian tandem of Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in the finals, 11-21, 21-14 and 21-12.
Another Indonesian pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto reached the semi final of the same event but was halted by the Malaysia duo.Also reaching the semi finals were Goh Soon Huat and Lai Shevon Jemie of Malaysia and the Indonesian duo of Praveen Jordan partnered with Melati Daeva Oktavianti in mixed doubles event.Aside from Indonesia and Malaysia, Thailand also took part of this badminton tournament.
