SEA Games 2019 News 018: Assistant Coach of the Men’s Football Team to Lead Vietnam's U22

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has accepted South Korean head coach Park Hang-seo’s recommendation that his assistant Lee Young-jin to take charge of the U22 team for the upcoming SEA Games in the Philippines.
The head coach stated that his assistant has the full ability and confidence to lead the team at the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
This decision will allow head coach Park Hang-seo to full focus on the qualification tournaments for World Cup 2022.

It so happens that the World Cup qualifications and SEA Games will both take place on November this year.
The Vietnam Football Federation has three main targets for Vietnamese football this 2019: qualify for AFC U23 2020 and World Cup 2022; and win the 30th SEA Games this year.
