Two Southeast Asian teams competed at the recently concluded Asian University Women Softball Championship. The second edition was held at the Nanjing Tech University in China from October 22 to 27.Singapore was assigned to play in Group A together with university teams from Chinese Taipei, India and China while Malaysia was in Group B with teams from Japan, Hong Kong and Iraq.After the 4-day competition, Singapore ended its campaign in 5th place while Malaysia managed to land in 4th place.
Host China topped the competition followed by Chinese Taipei while Japan secured the 3rd place.
Hong Kong, India and Iraq placed 6th, 7th and 8th respectively.
