VTV International Cycling Tournament – Ton Hoa Sen Cup 2018

Our Southeast Asian Cyclists made its presence felt at the Vietnam cycling tour. 
 
Ronald Oranza of the Philippines finished third overall as the Philippine Navy Standard Insurance emerged as runner-up in the non-UCI VTV Tour of Vietnam.

Jan Paul Morales also of the Philippine Navy was behind Im Jaeyeon (Korail) with 234 points for the Green jersey.

Sarda Perez Javier of Loc Troi Group won the red jersey as King of Mountain with Junrey Navarrra (Philippines) as runner-up.  While the white jersey for the best young cyclist went to Purnomo Setiawan of Indonesia’s PGN.

Meanwhile, the big winner was David Van Eerd who won the overall yellow jersey of the VTV International Cycling Tournament.

He won the event’s most coveted prize with the best overall time of 42:59.47 after 14 stages, and walked away with VND200million (US$8,700) in prize money.

Philippine Navy likewise made it to the podium of the Team General Classification by bagging second place , 28 seconds behind PCN-Indonesia in the 12-team field.

Two more additional podium finishes were bagged by P-N-S-I …with Jan Paul Morales, second placer in the last stage, winding up 3rd in the Sprint and Junrey Navarrra pocketing the runner-up honors in the King of the Mountain .

The annual event was co-organised by VTV and the Viet Nam Cycling Federation which attracted 80 cyclists from six domestic cycling teams and six foreign clubs, competing over 14 stages covering 1,800km.
