I. About the 10th ASEAN School Games
The 10th ASEAN School Games (ASG) was hosted by Shah Alam, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia  from 19th July to 26th July, 2018. Shah Alam is to accommodate the student-athletes under the age of eighteen. This is the second time that Malaysia is hosting the event after the 2010 ASG. 
This year's theme is "Towards Unity Through Sports".

The ASEAN Schools Games (ASG) is an annual sporting event which aims to enhance friendship among students around the Southeast Asian region. It also seeks to promote ASEAN solidarity among the youth through school sports and provide opportunities for school athletes to engage in cultural exchange.

III. Sports
There were 123 events in 11 sport disciplines contested. These were  athletics (38), badminton (7), basketball (2),  gymnastics (artistic & rhythmic) (14 & 6), netball (1), sepak takraw (3), squash (7), swimming (36), table tennis (7) and volleyball (2).

VII. Official Mascot & Emblem

Juara - The tiger is synonymous with Malaysia and South East Asia. It symbolizes strength, bravery, speed and agility – all the traits that we desire in our athletes. The tiger’s golden coat is reminiscent of the colour of the medal to which every athlete aspires. The strength of the tiger also represents the strong bonds of unity, friendship and understanding among the people of ASEAN. Holistically, the tiger personifies the hopes and aspirations of participants of this sporting event.
