🥊 Feliks Stamm Boxing Tournament 2018

The 35th Feliks Stamm Boxing Tournament was held in Warsaw, Poland from March 11 to 17.

The Philippines competed and won two gold and two bronze medals at this long running boxing tournament in Warsaw. They placed third overall in the medal standing behind Kazakhstan and Russia respectively.

Philippines' Ian Clark Bautista won the gold medal in the men's fly weight category (52kg) wNesthy Petecio in the women's Bantam (57kg)

Bautista won over Russia's Vasilii Egorov in the semi finals before cruising to the finals and defeating Zarip Jumayev of Turkmenistan.

Petecio defeated Yuliya Apanasovich of Belarus in the semi finals before beating Ornella Wahner of Germany in the finals.

Junel Contancio in men's  Light (60kg) reached the semi finals but was stopped to advance by Hursand Imankuliyev of Turkmenistan.

In the semi final of men's bantam (56kg) category, Mario Bautista Jr. was defeated by Awadi Mohammad of Jordan to receive bronze medal.

Aside from the mentioned boxers, the Philippines sent Dennis Galvan in men's welter weight (69kg) and Irish Magno in the women's Fly (51kg).
