⚾️ WBSC Hong Kong International Baseball Open Championships 2017

The WBSC Hong Kong International Baseball Open Championships 2017 was held at the Lion Rock Park Baseball Field in Kowloon, Hong Kong. 

Two teams from Southeast Asia participated at this tournament. Singapore competed in the National Team Pool while the Philippines represented by Ateneo de Manila University competed in the Club Team Pool.

Ateneo De Manila University (Philippines) captured its second consecutive title after beating Sydney University, 10-4, last Sunday.

But before that, they swept all their preliminary games to victory defeating Sydney University (12-7), Hong Kong Blue (9-6) and Lanzhou New Way (12-3).

Meanwhile, the Singapore team arranged its matches against the Russian and Hong Kong national teams.

Singapore NT defeated Russia, 20-3, and vowed to the host Hong Kong, 3-10.

The win against Russia enabled team Singapore to advance in the finals against Hong Kong. 

Unfortunately for the second time, Singapore was beaten by the host in the finals, 1-16. Singapore finished runner up behind champion Hong Kong. 
The tournament was held from December 14 and ended last December 17.
