🎳 53rd QuibicaAMF Bowling World Cup 2017


2017 Quibica AMF Bowling World Cup was held at the Bol 300 lanes in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
Our Southeast Asian countries did a very good job by winning the women's title and reached the semi finals in the men's side.
In the women's division, Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman of Malaysia and Krizziah Lyn Tabora of the Philippines qualified for the next round of the competition with 5149 and 5098. Siti ranked 6th while Tabora ranked 8th after the qualifying or elimination round. The two were among the top 24 that proceeded to the next round.

Unfortunately, Charlene Lim of Singapore failed to cross the top 24 of women's event. Lim managed to collect 4534 only and placed 27th overall in the qualifying round.
Tabora (PHI) and Rahman (MAS) reached the semi-finals in separate ways and met each other in the finals for the title round. Tabora defeated Rocio Restrepo of Colombia in the semifinals (249-222) while Rahman defeated Swedish bowler Jenny Wegner, 227-197. 

At the final round, Krizziah Lyn Tabora of the Philippines won over Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman of Malaysia,  236-191, to claim the QuibicaAMF Bowling World Cup 2017 for the women's division.
In the men's division, Ahmad Muaz Mohd Fishol of Malaysia topped the elimination round and advance for the next round with a total of 5334 score.
He also reached the semi finals but did not win against Jakob Butturff of the United States who won the title for this year's male division.
Meanwhile, Brandan Tan of Singapore and Jomar Roland Jumapao of the Philippines failed to advance and just  placed 31st and 33rd overall respectively among 64 male competitors.
