Two Southeast Asian teams competed at the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2017 happening in Chenzhou, China from the 22nd to 30th of September. These two were Mono Vampire of Thailand and Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas of the Philippines. Both teams were in Group A.

Philippines

- September 23: Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas (Philippines) 82-89 Sareyyet Ramallah (Palestine)
- September 24: Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas (Philippines) 115-102 Mono Vampire (Thailand)
- September 26: Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas (Philippines) vs Petrochimi (Iran)
Thailand
- September 22: Mono Vampire (Thailand) 102-100 Sareyyet Ramallah (Palestine)
- September 24: Mono Vampire (Thailand) 102-115 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas (Philippines)
- September 25: Mono Vampire (Thailand) 60-111 Petrochimi (Iran)
- September 26: Mono Vampire (Thailand) 66-85 BC Astana (Kazakhstan)
The Philippines and Thailand made it to the quarter-finals battled the teams from Group B. Below were the schedules and results of the knock-out quarter-finals of the Philippines and Thailand.
Quarter Finals

- Mono Vampire (Thailand) 73-110 Al-Riyadi (Lebanon)
The Philippines and Thailand failed to advance for the semi-finals and were relegated to 5th-8th places classification. Below are schedules of the two teams.

2017 SEA Games men's basketball gold medalist Philippines ended the tournament in 5th place defeating Thailand who settled for 6th place.
Host China (China Kashgar) finished second place while Al-Riyadi (Lebanon) captured the 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup.
