The Philippines tops among the Southeast Asian nations that competed at the 13th Asian Schools Chess Championship 2017. The tournament was held from July 22 to July 28 at the Liaohe Art Museum in Panjin, China.Philippines placed third over-all with 7-gold, 10-silver and a bronze medals behind host China (10 Gold-7 Silver-10 Bronze) and Uzbekistan (8 Gold-6 Silver-4 Bronze).Indonesia came 4th overall with 6-gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze medals. Other Southeast Asian countries that won medals were Malaysia (2 Silver & 1 Bronze), Singapore and Vietnam with a lone bronze medal each.Apart from the mentioned countries, Brunei, Laos and Thailand also participated in this chess competition.Below are the successful woodpushers from Southeast Asian.
