I. About 28th Southeast Asian Games
The 28th Southeast Asian Games was held in Singapore from 5th - 16th June 2015 at the Singapore National Stadium located in the capital city. This was the fourth time the city will host the biennial sporting event for athletes from all over Southeast Asia (SEA). Singapore hosted in 1973, 1983 and 1993. The event is also parallel with Singapore's 50-year celebration of independence.
There were less than 5,000 athletes from 11 participating countries that competed in this "Olympics of Southeast Asia" and battling in 402 events in 36 sports.
