The 21st ASEAN University Games 2024 is to be held in Surabaya and Malang in Indonesia. There were 21 sports that are to be contested from
June 25 to July 6 with eleven competing countries from Southeast Asian
region. This year's official slogan is "Unity in Diversity".
The sports that were contested are as follows: (click the sport for more details)
Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, 3x3 Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Bridge, Chess, E-sports, Futsal, Handball, Judo, Karate, Pencak Silat, Petanque, Sepak Takraw, Sport Climbing, Swimming, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball and Wushu.
The official emblem of the 21st AUG
The official mascot of the games is MAS SUMA (MAScot of AUG in SUrabaya and MAlang) - the name MAS SUMA is taken from Sanskrit which means dashing. The name represents activeness, competent, cheerful and friendly character.
