After staging the biggest multi-sporting event in Southeast Asia which was the 32nd Southeast Asia Games, Cambodia is planning to host a bigger sporting event.
Cambodia is looking forward to host the 5th Asian Youth Games (AYG) in 2029.
Thong Khon, president of the Cambodian Olympic Committee of Cambodia and Khoung Sreng, governor of Phnom Penh and representing the host capital signed the agreement to host the AYG.
The signing was made after a decision at the 40th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2021 when Cambodia was approved to host the AYG.
If this will go forward, this will be another historic sporting event for Cambodia.
