#SEAGames2023 | PH Tennis Team for Cambodia

Eight-man squad will represent Philippines in tennis at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia this coming May.
 
Francis Casey Alcantara who recently reached the men's doubles semifinals in Jakarta (together with Pruchya Isara of Thailand) is one of members of the Philippine men's team for SEA Games. He will be joining Ruben Gonzales who is recently competing in Mexico along with Miko Eala and Eric Olivarez. 

For the women's side, Alex Eala will not see action in Cambodia but will be represented by her 2021 SEA Games teammates that won bronze medal in women's team event. These are Shaira Hope Rivera, Marian Capadocia and Jenaila Rose Prulla with Khim Iglupas.
 
Philippines is competing in all seven events to be contested in Cambodia which includes the men’s and women’s singles, doubles (men & women), team events (men & women) and the mixed doubles.
 
In the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam, the Philippines won one gold medal in men's doubles courtesy of Treat Huey and Ruben Gonzales. 
 
The tennis competition will start on May 6 until May 14 at the Tennis Complex, Morodok in Phnom Penh.
