The Petronas Malaysia Open 2023 was held at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from January 10 to 15 with the participation of some of our best Southeast Asian badminton players.
Indonesia was the only country who won one event title (in men's doubles) in the competition while other Southeast Asian players only reached the semifinals and quarterfinals.
Ong
Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi of host Malaysia only reached the quarterfinals
in the men's doubles likewise with compatriot Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee
Wei in the mixed doubles event.
Only Indonesia and Thailand players reached the semifinals of some events such as in the men's singles and mixed doubles events. And below are the winners and semifinalists from Southeast Asia.

MIXED DOUBLES
- 3rd/4th - Dejan Ferdinansyah & Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja (Indonesia)
- 3rd/4th - Dechapol Puavaranukroh & Sapsiree Taerattanachai (Thailand)
