Badminton competition in the 31st Southeast Asian Games coincides with the Thomas & Uber Cup which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
SEA Games badminton competition begins on May 13 until May 21 while the Thomas & Uber Cup are slated from May 8 to May 15.
Because of vast number of caliber smashers, Indonesia has no problem of sending players for both competitions.
For SEA Games, Team Indonesia will send 20 players which is comprised of ten (10) male and ten (10) female badminton players.
The men’s line-up
includes Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Christian Adinata,
Bobby Setiabudi, Yonathan Ramlie, Pramudya Kusumawardana, Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob
Rambitan, Leo Rolly Carnando, Daniel Marthin, Rinov Rivaldy and Adnan Maulana.
For the women's category, team members include Gregoria Mariska Tunjung,
Putri Kusuma Wardani, Saifi Rizka Nurhidayah and Stephani Widjaja.
Also in the list are Apriyani Rahayu, Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Ribka Sugiarto, Febby Valencia D Gani, Pitha Haningtyas Mentari and Mychelle Crhystine Bandas.
Indonesia is targeting three gold medals in Vietnam, the same number of gold medals they won in the 2019 SEA Games in Manila, Philippines.
