Futsal will once again calendared in the Southeast Asian Games after its absence in 2019 SEA Games in Manila. Five countries are vying for men's and women's SEA Games podium. These are Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Myanmar. Indonesia has withdrawn its participation in women's futsal and in women's football.
