Timor Leste will participate at the 31st Southeast Asian Games which will be held in Vietnam this coming May.
Timor Leste will compete only in seven sports which includes athletics, beach volleyball, karate, swimming and football.
They will also compete in sports in which they have very high chance of winning medals like in teakwondo and in boxing.
At the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines, these two sports contributed a total of six medals - 2 bronze medals in boxing and 4 medals in taekwondo which includes the silver medal won by Ana Da Costa Da Silva in women's finweight class.
Since 2009 SEA Games, these two sports are bringing medals for Timor Leste's campaign at the biennial meet.
Meanwhile, athletics will send 6 athletes - 3 men and 3 women athletes in Hanoi SEA Games. Timor Leste is known for having long distance runners.
