HOME - 32nd Summer Olympic Games - Tokyo 2020
Vietnam will compete at the 32nd Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 11 sports with 18 athletes - 8 males and 10 females. Team Vietnam has four athletes who competed in 2016 Rio Olympics. These are Nguyen Tien Minh (badminton), Thach Kim Tuan (weightlifting), Nguyen Thi Anh Vien (swimming) and 2016 Olympic gold medalist Hoang Xuan Vinh (shooting) who is also the oldest competitor at age 46. While the youngest athlete to compete is Do Thi Anh Nguyet (archery) at age 20.
Vietnam is entered in 32 events with gymnastics which has the most events.
Favorites to win Olympic medal are Hoang Xuan Vinh (shooting), Thach Kim Tuan (weightlifting), and Dinh Phuong Thanh (Gymnastics).
