At the 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart,
Yulo claimed gold in the floor exercise finals. A historic feat as the
first ever Filipino winning gold at a world gymnastics championships.
With the above mentioned achievements and being Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, all eyes are on him in Tokyo Olympics. Will he be the first ever Olympic gold medalist from the Philippines?
The other Filipinos who already qualified for the Olympics are pole vaulter
Ernest John Obiena and boxers Eumir Marcial and Irish Magno.
