While the women's national team of Thailand already played 12 international matches that begun May 21, the Philippine women's volleyball team has just started its training.
On day one of training, only seven players out of the 22-woman pool attended the training.
These were volleyball captain Abigail Maraño, Mika Reyes, Dawn Macandili, Celine Domingo, Diana Mae Carlos, Frances Molina and Kalei Mau.
Team Philippines is aiming for a podium finish at the Southeast Asian Games 2019 especially in the women's division.
At the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, the Philippines finished 4th place after Vietnam defeated them for bronze medal in the women's division.
