SEA Games 2019 News 074: Myanmar to Send 10 Players For Billiards & Snookers


Myanmar is planning to send 10 players for billiards and snookers in the forthcoming 30th Southeast Asian Games to held in the Philippines this November.

According to Myanmar Times, Myanmar Billiards and Snooker Federation has plan to send three men and two women players for 9-ball, two men for billiards and three men for snooker.

Billiards and snookers is a consistent medal producer for team Myanmar at the Southeast Asian Games.

At the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore, Myanmar raked a total of 8 medals in which 1 was gold medal courtesy of Htay Aung and Tun Min Si Thu in the men's doubles english billiards.

While at the 2017  SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, this sport contributed 6 medals from the total 37 medals they won in total. Half of the 6 medals were silver medals.

Billiards and snookers offers 10 gold medals at the 2019 SEA Games and aside from Myanmar, Singapore and host Philippines are expected to dominate the sport.
