Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation has selected a total of 50 athletes for sepak takraw training camp in preparation for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games 2019 in the Philippines.
The selected trainees are composed of 32 men and 18 women sepak takraw athletes.
They are now training at the Gold Camp facility in Nay Pyi Taw since end of April.
Myanmar men's trainees are Htoo Aung Kyaw, Thant Zin Tun, Ko Ko Lwin, Maung Ye, Thet Aung, Min Htut Khine, Paing Soe Oo, Zin Bo Oo, Zin Ko Ko, Hein Latt, Sithu Aung, Zin Min Oo, Wai Lin Aung, Aung Pyae Tun, Thant Zin Oo and Htat Myat Thu.
Also in the men's division are Aung Naing Oo, Zaw Myo Thu, Aung Myo Naing, Aung Thu Min, Kyaw Zin Latt, Tun Wunna Aung, Aung Zaw Hein, Min Htet, Shane Htet Kyaw, Nyan Lin Naing, Chin Ya Thu, Aung Min Naing, Thaung Aye, Aung Ye Zaw and Sithu Tun.
And for the women's side, Su Mon Aung, Su Myat Yin, Su Myat Noe, Su Ye Htet, Phyu Phyu Than, Nan Su Myat San, Su Mon Kyaw, Khin Hnin Wai, Aye Aye Than, Yamone Zin, Win Thuzar, Lin Lin Pyae, Thiri Aung, Ei Ei Phyo, Saung Oo Wai, Zin Min Htwe, Toe Yadanar Su and Su Myar Hlaing.
From these trainee-athletes, the final selections and the number of athletes that will be sent to 30th SEA Games will be announced before the event itself starts.
Aside from the training, the federation plans to send its athletes to invitational tournaments abroad.
Sepak takraw is medal contributor sport for Myanmar at the biennial meet and even in the Asian Games.
